Just herd on the ABC news GM is going to axe Pontiac to stave off bankruptcy. this will affect holdens elizabeth plant, who expoets re badged Commodores/Statesmans & I suppose put a damper in the future of any new monaro/pontiac GTO.
looks like we may end up with just Chevrolet & caddillac in the comming years, rather said to see pontiac go over Buick.

well alchupanibre, looks like opel will be going the same way, or be sold off as a going concern, so you might get your wish.

Holden are pinning all the hopes on the new small car to be built at Elizabeth for that plant to survive, I hope they dont giv

Yes Ive been reading the official word from Pontiac. GM say the brand has been unprofitable for some years. Would their un profitability have coincided with the axing of the Firebird several years ago??
