I am obviously more into Monaros ( i do like the Tories though) but I thought that the big following of Toranas would bring some opinions in on this ......... but so far nothing ? ?

Both of those names are rightly sacred, the problem is what will the new Chinese or Indian owners of H do with them.
Ahh soo, tolana velly popurar we will call the new E car Tolana
or Oh golly gosh, we will redo a two door Morris Oxford and call it the Tata Monaro.
Crystal balls a bit foggy this morning I could be wrong.

As the first model Torana was simply a re badged Viva, which was haveing difficulty, why not just re name the curent Viva as Torana and be done with it?

Vauxhall Viva.... the first one, knew a bloke who put a 179 into one of them, back in the day.
Not the scariest ride of my life, but very close to it.

I was at steinborner Holden yesterday looking at a 2nd hand WM statesman, I was talking to a couple of salesman about work being a employee of a supplier, I was told not to worry to much about whats in the press as far as sales were concerned he said their sales were very good and on the increase, i must say the few times i have been there recently there have been a few potential customers looking at cars. As for the Torana we will have to wait and see.

cloudy recently for work purposes i have spoken to both the guys at ford and hummer/saab and while the guys at ford looked and stated that they were quite. The opposite must be said for hummer/saab they had stated sales had picked up and things did look that way.
No real benefit for them to tell me otherwise.

I think Warren is deadly accurate with his prediction. The new replacement car for the current Viva platform will more than likely get the Torana nameplate in an attempt to drum up sales. It could be the kick start they need considering June 1 is just a week away now.

Yeah but seems like it should be more of a car to use that name and the heritage that comes with it.
