Couldnt do it demand would be to low so price would have to be much higher ?

Interesting rumour though ?

They did it with the 67 Mustang, worldwide demand and popularity.

Honestly hadnt heard it with the Camaro though ?

i know bosko, but you just cant justify the muck around and the cost.

ford muscle parts in sydney looked at doing XW front fenders and XY front fenders(yes they are different)and just the tooling costs where enough to can the project before it went ahead.
as HKGTS186S said above, the demand just isnt there. we see it all the time because we are keen car heads, but the average joe blow in the street just thinks we are a pack of fools with more money than sence, wasteing money on old cars..
unfortunately i donr think i will happen, we are very very lucky indeed that we have rare spares, so be thankfull for them

I would never say never with this but find it really hard to imagine the demand being there to justify production.

Would be interesting if they did it though ? ?

Sure wed love to see it happen, and if this person is even looking seriously, then good on him, but sadly i doubt it will come to be.

Dynacorn, i think it is, in the US, that do repro Mustang and Camaro bodies, they have a HUGE market there, enough to justify their existance, and then factor in a worldwide demand and youre onto something.

Its all true. Being a Queenslander, I saw it in a big feature in the Saturday paper Cars Guide two weeks ago. Along with complete shells, 1/4 panels and everything else is being looked at.

like the hotrods

copyright is unlikely to be an issue, GM is unlikely to take it on after what happened when Shelby tried it

The chookcooker/ ricer market must be slowing down (YES!!)So
hes moving into the realms of real cars.

Seriously,I hope it comes off, but I would have thought that the
Aussie market would be too small. Happy to be proven wrong though.

Now if I can only forgive him for helping to keep chookcookers on the roads.......

Personally I think this is great news, fingers crossed it takes off over here. I cant see it devaluating the price of real Monaros or GTs.
The way I see it panning out is that there will be two very different markets;
One for the real vintage car enthusiasts who love their cars to be restored to pay homage to a bygone era etc etc and one for the car lovers that want to scratch build something perhaps a bit more customised just like the rodders do.
Anyone in the market for one of these cars but sitting on the fence would have a choice, thats gotta be good.
