Can you tell me the numbers of hz gts cars that were built in Sydney Adelaide and Melbourne and if one plant made more than another ? Cheers

Do not have a complete break down from each plant, and Adelaide records not complete.

Was there any more built at a particular plant than another As ive heard that Sydney did not make many HZ s at all and majority built in Melb Adelaide ?

From my register i havent found syd to be less. but thats not saying that its not so...
on it at the moment.

Plus build records post mid-1978 arent known to exist, so whatever numbers were built after that time are unknown.

Thanks guys was told that Sydney cars are more rarer as they didnt make as many but i doubt Holden would do that unless orders for the cars were more in a particular state. Cheers

Hello dagwoodone, At present, the official numbers from the production records are as follows: HZ GTS built up to June 1978 update - Brisbane 290 Sydney 525 Adelaide 323 Melbourne did not build any. A full breakdown will be available in the lead up to the 2010 Monaro event. Sydney production ended before October 1978 and Brisbane in December 1978. The final run of cars was done in Adelaide in early 1979. Hope this is of use, Ben Stewart.

Hi Ben,
As you no doubt know. I have a website dedicated the the hz gts. I wouldnt mind using some of the info you just mentioned on there. If that is ok with you?
As warren proberly mentioned he helped me out heaps with some info and gave me the permsission to use the monaro facts and story info aslong as i didnt claim it as my own.
Also if you ever find out any more info about them i would love to hear it. ie how many in each colour etc. =)

Do you guys realise that despite who has their name on either side of the Monaro Story/Facts that the whole book was a joint effort. So slandering Warren for whatever reason is doing the same to Ben. Grow up.
