My Hk has the ID plate located in the middle of the firewall at about throttle linkage height,, I havent een too many like this ,,
any hints on when they change the plate location

I think it was late July-Early August 1968. Early Monaros (those built in June/July 1968) all seem to have the firewall mounted plate.
