From 7/71 ADR 9 is used to show automatic, until 5/76
From 6/76 to 11/77 is when the A appears on the tag for automatic and ADR 9 vanishes.

Not quite correct Warren. ADR9 went into 6/76 on ADR tags. I have 6/76 complianced HJ and LX with ADR9 and with no A. It is the HJ to HX change that ADR9 went and the A appeared. It may have been Car to Sales date 1/6/76 when it happened but there are 6/76 complianced HJ and LX with ADR9 and without the A. One HJ van I have is 6/76 (not actually completed until 2/7/76) L31 M41 and it has ADR9 and also no ADR27A and (as per normal in HJ commercial) no ADR27. Although GMH started to add ADR27A from the start of all HX (back into around March 1976) it wasn't mandatory until 1/7/76. Edited by user Sunday, 25 June 2023 4:20:21 PM(UTC)
