I was just thinking about all the discussions I've seen in here about putting coommodore engines and fuel inj. etc. in old holdens, and since my HX 1Tonner is a work vehicle, I wondered if it was possible to put a diesel engine in easily(such as an Isuzu engine or something) has this been done before and would it be a possible/ viable option? any advice or heckling etc. for asking a silly question will be appreciated.

GM made a V8 diesel that was externally the same as a small block Chev. Easy fit into a HX. I don't know why you'd do it though. a 400 SB or a big block on LPG would be cheaper and easier and cheaper to run, plus would murder the diesel in torque, horsepo
