I want to fit bonnet struts to my VH Commodore, but i am not sure what length to buy since this car did not originally come out with struts??

you want VB - VL wagon tailgate struts.
get the nipples too. these have the same thread as as the bonnet hinges. remove the top bolt in the bonnet hinge and screw the nipple in. (i think the thick end of the strut attaches to the bonnet.) find a ut the s
