Hi Guys,

I have been having a win chasing parts as of late!

By placing wanted ads in the local "Handy Trader", which cost me nothing, I have found a few bits and pieces for the right price.

The weekend turned up a 9" diff for the Torana with a limited slip 3.9 centre and Axles with Torana stud pattern as well as a set of four as new Dragway Indys in 14x7 (Torana stud pattern) with Bridgestone Eagers all round, two of which are brand new!

I picked the lot up for $1000!

There are still bargains to be found.

Happy Hunting!

Cheers,
Allan

Keep an eye out with your local councils hard rubbish, heres just a few things I have collected just from spoting them on the way into town or the mate place, HK GTS rear seat in black top & base, LJ Torana coupe rear seat in doe skin top & base, HQ Coupe buckets trim stuffed but good Mechs, HJ-HZ Black consul in GC, set of NOS genuine holden 253 pistons & 3 Nos V8 fuel pumps, 2 HJ Honeycomb rims with useable tyres, 6 GTS rims in varying conditions, 3 GTS wheel trim rings & 1 HQ GTS guard with very slight damage at front. Not to mention the non car related stuff. It always amazes me what people just throw out.

The EZYSCRAP guy stopped by work the other day to pick up our usual load of Motorcycle crates and I poked my head in the trailer as normal and heres a nice rust free HQ single headligt front nosecone sitting there. Just what I was looking for as my coupe had a Stato front and I had the single headlight support and grille but no panel to go on it.

Did you find some of that stuff at a wangaratta scrap metal place.
One of my mates took a load of assorted holden and ford stuff just after I met him (about a month or so ago)?

Cheers Stephen

My mate got about 6 of those in similar condition when he first moved out west off local properties. Problem was they were all stuffed in the rails, yet looked perfect outside. He ended up stripping them all and many had perfect panels, theres still doors laying around behind the shed. When we cut the roof off most of theem they collapsed in the middle due to rusty rails. The only good one we ever came across was an FE ute that had been in a shed for 30 years. Hopefully that one is a beauty though, would make for a nice street car if its not too rusty.
