Thanks for the comments we wreck, i put it up on here and on oldholden as Id rather avoid using ebay where there would be alot of interest no doubt (99% of which would be time wasters!). Have had a few emails and offers but no one has come and had a look at it yet. It is also on carpoint for $26,500 as of last night and already have had phone calls. She is far from a show car but for something you dont get too precious over and can enjoy driving it will be perfect. Should have probably put a price on her to begin with as most people probably assumed i was asking a fortune. Edited by user Tuesday, 7 July 2009 1:21:22 AM(UTC)

its true though what you say, most of them here reckon they worth heaps, and break there neck to try get one, saying "ill buy it" when you tell them the price, they remain silent, and you never hear from them again..but..if they had it, it would be rare, and expensive and a whole different story..lots of tossers love monaros im afraid to say

haha its so true, Ive been keeping an eye out for what else is up for sale and most of the others out there are drastically over priced. This car is one of three but I wouldnt buy any more, rather go spend the $$$ on something American or a sweet premier or torana for less money.

Hahaha well I hate to say it but Id take the Camaro any day of the week. Completely understand the concept and supply and demand but what about the concept of substitution? Have finally had some people come and look at the car and hopefully it will be sold by the weekend. Unfortunately had to shatter the dreams of one guy by not accepting a 2002 WRX STI as a straight swap. Perhaps i should email this owner to see if he wants to swap! http://www.cars-on-line.com/41925.html

Im with you Frank, the Camaro. Im staggered by the guys that buy so called Aussie muscle cars when there is so much more for your dollar in real American muscle. For a start the Aussie stuff only gets low performance small blocks and some of them get fitted to 4 door cars. The term Muscle Cars is American and thats that. Example http://australianmusclec...bathurst-gts-monaro-350
or for $162,000 converted into US $127,000 you could buy this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebay...rkparms=65%3A3%7C39%3A1
and have $66,000 change to get it home. 435hp or 300hp? Whos got muscle? GMH did a great job on giving us some very good cars like the Monaro and whatever budget they had to work with the preformed very well. However the US with their population base could do alot more so once again Im staggered that we pay so much more for so much less. Maybe we are not that smart? Just as a foot note to this our top engine was 300hp well I think this was the base engine in a Corvette of this era. Edited by user Wednesday, 8 July 2009 6:27:50 PM(UTC)

For anyone that cares, just sold her for the realistic price of 24k and off to her new home in Tasmania. The regret is starting to sink in but sure the money will be spent well, on another HQ!
