Am i correct in saying that the HG Monaro did not have gaskets between the rear tail lights and the body? They were sealed to the body with a corking compound?

I know that there is a gasket in the light assembly but not one on the body?

All vehicle related feedback appreciated

Yes they used "Caulking" Compound(not corking).
I had to correct you back there as i was a spelling Bee champion in 1984.
The original stuff was Grey and you could roll it in to shape .
