Does anyone know the size of the sensor thread that goes into the intake manifold for a water gauge?

I have bought a unit that has a 1/8 NPT and want to know if I need to buy an adaptor for the temperature gauge

Yes it is 3/8" NPT.

I keep adaptors on the shelf to fit 1/8" NPT senders into 3/8" NPT holes. VDO number 320.053.
