We don't have the Hoon laws in the states yet. Some places have similar laws but not so strict and not in many places. I just wondered what the general feeling about these sorts of laws is with car nuts down under. Like em hate em what do you think?

I'm for it, no problems here. A funny one for you though, a journalist in Western Australia has had the Ferrari that he was driving at 230kph confiscated under the Hoon Law. I can only guess it was a loan car that he was doing an article on. Very embarra

I agree with auctioning the cars. It gives the original owner the chance to buy their car back at the current market value. Their $40,000 car they can buy back at auction for $40,000, or someone else can buy it. A pretty hefty fine for them, and a great i |

I'd like to see some consideration given when the owner of the car is not the person convicted of "hooning". If the apprentice is doing burnouts in the shop ute it seems unfair that the employer has to wear the consequences of the employees behaviour

gts308, if the law were fair then i'd agree with you fully. but i know that the cops around here are definately not fair, they're generally people with below average IQ who abuse the sh*t out of their power. for example: my friends and i were all standing

I do agree that some people on the police force do need to find new jobs. Others need to learn what they are looking at when it comes to vehicles. At a recent car show they had "Policemans choice" he picked a Mercury Cougar he asked the owner if that thin |
