Title says it all. Apparently it can be caused by poor ventilation, arcing, both? It comes up every few months. Is this true?
Ive heard you can fit a Ford rotor button to the Bosch HEI 6cyl dizzy, and this runs closer to the contacts?

Got in there and gave it a really good clean with some fine emery paper and contact cleaner. Could note the difference as soon as i fired it up. I actually dropped the idle a little because it was too high with the clean, fresh contacts.
Question, are these caps meant to be ventilated? IE, a little hole somewhere? |

I have seen this happen somewhere before???. I used to have a Jag XJ6 and the top of the plugs and also the dissy cap used to foul-up with this white powder. Just wondering if it has anything to do with electrolysis? Could be possibly a lack of earths or something like that.

Hey dude,
Nothing to do with water, Einstein!. Electrolysis is a chemical reaction that occurs when you have a lack of correct earthing. The negative causes a reaction with the water, and does internal engine damage. Reactively eats through your block via the water ports, head bolts and so on. Causes corrosion on alloy also. Ever removed an alloy head, and seen all that pitting. Looks like little black holes eating through it!. On jaguars in particular, its infamous for eating right through the head bolts, and also more common than most would think. Ever had a car that suffers from a battery drain due to electrolysis??? more common than you think!
