want to sell them by friday if i can as i have my eye on another engine project and wanna make some quick funds.
first one is an asembled shortblock complete with hq sump and pick up been sitting around under and awning for a few years and has rust in the bores and no engine numbers. would probably only need a hone. 0.040 over. 75 date code i think
2nd is a dissasembled short block it had cam bearing failure. comes with a new set of ACL bearings not fitted. has to of the inner head bolt lugs broken from over tensioning there not really needed anyways.
has engine number QT65*** both trimatic paturn make one outa the 2 and have somes spares oh its 0.030 over and 0.010 on main and big end.
comes with HQ red heads.

the date code for the for the one with no engine numbers is 21J1 if anyone can decifer this will get the one for the other block too. |

mate....
its a killer deal, but just remember that you are dealing with monaro heads here, so it will be to expensive and not original enough, and too worn out etc...but, if it was their stuff and they wanted to sell it, i would be rare and hard to get and be twice the price..lol
as much as i hate to say this, but if it was 2 x 351 clevelands for that price, they would be already snapped up

So why dont you just Fark Orf to the Ford section and leave this area alone!

The date codes mean
29E6 29th may 1976
21J1 21st September 1981.
Because if it was a 21 September 1971 block the date code would read as J211.
The engine numbers should confirm those dates as well.

I thought it was a bargain its getting hard to get old 308s the have some life left inem before a re-sleave...
