I will be upgrading my 186 motor with a YELLOW TERRA head inc roller rockers, etc.
Motor will have lightweight flywheel and pistons.
What head would be the best to use? After higher compression, so am considering either 179 or 149 heads. But I want to be able to use premium fuel (98 oct) not have to use avgas or something ridiculous.
Will 149 make my compression too high for 98 oct fuel? And will 149 give better performance result than 179?

179 and 186 heads are the same combustion chamber. A 149 head will give you very high compression, but I can't remember how high. Over 10:1 I think. 161 and 173's used the same combustion chamber as a 149.
