What is this diff worth? ....GM3725899...pulled it out of a hj 1tonner its got huge drum brakes ,holden stud pattern ,looks like a smallish 9 inch (ford)..ive searched the net and its out if a 54-62 chev of some sort(corvette ..chevelle..etc)its non lsd but looks as tough as nails ,dont know the gearing but will check,3.08 or above..ie..3.73...4.11...just wondering whether to fit it or sell as ive got a 10 bolt anyway(just like the big brakes)....any help would be welcome..thanxz

I take it the number is stamped on the diff centre not the housing?
The 3725899 center section casting was used on 57-62 Corvettes and 55-64 Chev passenger cars non LSD.

Not really worth the effort. They are a Banjo version of a Chev 10-bolt. A lot of mucking around for not much gain.

B-W & 9" are much stronger.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Dr Terry, you are right, but its no effort its already been fitted to a 1 tonner so would fit straight in.I wouldnt bother with customizing a rear end.Still leaves the question what is it worth?and still dont know the ratio...(just checked it an its 3.55)i have a 3.08 in it now(10 bolt)
