Hi guys, ive just found a 1991 VP Commo Exc. wagon in much better condition than the VN I found. This bloke wants $500 to get rid of it and its only done 240,000km.

What do I need to look at and what do I need to be aware of when looking at it!

And Im not sure what series it is.

Cheers

If its a 1991 VP, then its a very early series 1.

The main things to look for are previous accident damage, shoddy repairs & rust.

If its a complete & driving car in reasonable condition, then $500 is a bargain.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

look at the transmission.
is it sluggish to drop into reverse?.

if the trans packs it in, you may as well send it to scrap.
