Hi people am wondering if someone can id a 308 i came across. It has no prefix letters in front of the engine number and it ends with a P? Is this a replacement block with a police issued engine number your help would be appreciated.

A NSW Police number is NxxxxP. Don't know about other states. I have an NPxxxxP number on a 253.
A few things to look for:


Rope or neoprene rear main seal.


Casting date code on the flat section between the valley cover and the timing chain co
