Ive converted several early Holdens to VK EFI & Ive found that the best way is to retain the factory air intake tube, but use a smaller air box. The VK air flow meter will bolt up directly to a 1984-85 1.8 MPI JD Camira air box because the base of their 2 air flow meters is the same.

Modify the inner guard to mount the Camira air box against the drivers side radiator support allowing its intake snorkel to protrude thru the panel so it gets cool air from the grille area.

Dont use pod filters, apart from looking like cr@p, they dont work very well.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0
