Have installed a 24mm front sway bar on GT Capri, however I notice from the grease marks that the actual bar must be shifting left and right through the bushes and brackets whilst driving. Is this normal for movement to occur? I had also replaced the tie rod ends and steering arms which the bar connects to.

Yes that movement is normal.
