Hi This has been on going prob for me my hz ute has a 308 in it being a little bit worked nothing over the top at all. I have 3 core radiator, shroud, flex fan and two second hand thermo which prob do little or no good. The temp sits around 180 to 190 and in heavy traffic starts creeping up to 200 once on the open road again it does go down but takes a while. I had the radiator all cleaned out and it had a **** load of scale in it I have one of those radiator socks on it the one that goes on the top hose, and it is picking up alot of **** what comes out of the sock looks like little rocks about 1-5 mm long. I guess what I want to know is this thing running to hot should I get a power flush done on the block Please help

Many people ignore the cooling system and yet it is one which can cause problems. Clean out the complete system including any overflow bottle,replace the radiator cap (if old or dirty) and get the system pressure tested by a radiatir company.I'm sure it w

I had exactly the same thing with my 308. The stones were whitish and aparently because of lack of earth strap from block to body / chassis ?? seemed to stop them ?

I also left off my clutch fan and used a fixed blade one because of the hassle of refi
