Nothing really stops the rain, unless you dont have an actual hole in your bonnet. Yes your engine might get wet. Not a big wrap for them as I prefer to be a little understated & have the car go well than have it look tuff & do nothing. Utility8  |

Designed for drag racing to get more air flow ,then adopted for the street.In both case im afraid its a fair weather friendly accessory
and not much more.(also good for high carbys)nothing keeps the water out.

Sure youll get a bit in there, but unless its torrential rain, youd be fine. A little spray may even cool things a bit. And as i once read in response to a similar question in a tech article, there are plenty of carbied race boats that run around just fine sucking in sea spray. |

HQforme is right I ran one for years an never had any issues(not on a show car just cleanish street),And if youve already got one then ,just get a spare bonnet,its always a good to have one just incase you have to change configarations. You can get scoop plugs from VPW, Summit, etc. Dont know if they are for plugging up only while stopped or for general driving around type use. I have a torana style induction scoop on my HJ GTS and even those the water gets into. Doesnt seem to bother it at all (quite hilarious to watch water flowing up the bonnet then going forwards into the scoop). __________________________________________ Keep the shiny side up, and the greasy side down.
