Believe it or not this van originally started life as a HQ UTE Its dbut was at the 2009 Van nationals, where it won Best Engineering and Best Panel Van.The engine is supercharged with nitrous injected 383 Chev, all the best parts, Dart Block, Brodix Heads, Twin Deamon Carbs everything has been polished or chromed (and I mean everything). The cert tag has got so many extras they can only just fit, eg: Tilt Front, Tubbed, Caged. It has been 10+ years to get it this far, next is the custom paint job. Holy Sh#t. it is runnin down my leg. That is awesome. Do you have any build pics(progress) you could post. What you have done is absolutely insane and i cant wait to sleep tonight and dream of my van looking half as good as that. Pity youre a kiwi!!!(lol)

aye bro... - at least our laws are more lieniant over here - this is street legal - minus the scoop on top - still have the paint job to go want it to stand out from the crowd -any ideas on colour - i thinking of black or deep blue or a bright green and then either graphics or an old school mural.... its taken so lon they didnt have digital cameras so will have to scan some old photos sometime

Wow!! That is nice! The first thing I thought when the pics opened was "what a bloody watse - all that work and a plain paintjob?!!" Then I read the text ; )
I feel broke just thinking about how much that build would have cost you but well done! That is quite a machine, I love the way the bonnet hovers like that when its all open.
What have you done with the interior - and the cargo area?
Deep blue imho has been done too many times on p.vans, itll depend on the graphics as to what the background colour should be but I still like the candy apply colours - deep maroon, dark green.... not original either but thats just my taste.

Actually, after a little thought Id definately go with a darker colour because there is a possibility that after a short time some of those panels are not going to line up as perfectly as they probably do now and a light colour will show that up too much... my 2c
