If I wanted to run a VN style dizzy cap on a WB HEI unit, what rotor button would I need to use? As the VN style rotor(GB 901)is to suit a thinner shaft, while the points style rotor is to suit a thicker shaft.

You can use a Bosch GB786 rotor of an XD/XE Ford with HEI.
