Hi are all HQ Rear Wheel Clyinders the same size, or do they vary with different models. ie: is the 173 6 fitted with the same as a 350 V8. cheers

Yes, all HQ models have 7/8-inch diameter rear brake wheel cylinders, even the ones with front drum brakes.

Dont make the mistake of using Commodore rear cylinders as replacements. They are also 7/8-inch & do fit in their place but the brake pipe fitting has a slightly different thread. Close enough to screw in and work, but will often strip or come loose because its not the correct thread (10mm x 1 vs 3/8 UNF).
