Adelaide by your other post. Depends upon how late in HX from that plant. If its late enough youll be able to reconstuct it from the BODY plate.

1/77 is too early to do it for Adelaide plant. Adelaide didnt start aligning their BODY and VIN numbers until approx 9/77. It is all but impossible to reconstruct it on that car.

Its as you say, a HX XX7 Sandman ute. All I can add is it was originally Chamois in colour (1887) with slate black interior (18V) and was fitted with a 253 4spd and 3.55 diff.

Seeing as you are in WA, Id start here if I were you.

http://www.dpi.wa.gov.au/licensing/1062.asp

Some states will search their records (for a fee) hopefully the number you want will come up.

The VIN number wont though as its never recorded except on original GMH files or the original books for the car. The car will exist in original GMH records, but itll be identified by its PSN which is the end of the VIN which you dont have. Unfortunately there is no other information (chassis or body number) for a 1/77 Elizabeth built car recorde on the records that will allow you to find the car. The only chance you have is if you have your original engine number then it might be recorded. If you think you have it post it up and ill tell you if it might be original.
