Yes, the module is an easy swap, with no re-booting necessary.

Just make sure the Bosch part number of both units is the same or at least a supersession.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Dr Terry,

When you say supersession do you mean of a later model car with same engine and set up, ie trac control?

I have a VT SS S1 Gen3, the car takes a while to kick over and also the trac lights comes and goes as too the engine light. Just today the car would not run, it would kick over and run for bout 2-3seconds then just die. Could this be the ABS module causing this? I haven't been getting any of the other lights flashing up and the car has been driving on a daily basis with no dramas apart from the afore mentioned.
