Hi guys I know this is not a computer site but there are a few guys who know computers. For some time now my daughter has not been able to access Hotmail, she can sign in but the front page comes up and loads part of the page then just sits there and does nothing. Recently it has started the trick with my email which is a totally different provider, I sign in, it accepts the sign in, thenloads about 1/4 of the page (the top bit) and then mostly justs sits there. Occasionally it will go to my mail box, but as soon as I try to open an email it dies again. There have been no changes to the computer, should I try to reinstasll IE 5.5 or is it something else? thanks. I did try to enrol in Hotmail to try to sort out my daughter's problem but had the same problem.

Hi John,

Try downloading "Spybot Search and Destroy" and "Adaware SE Personal". Both are Freeware AFAIK.

I had similar problems to you with some sites a couple of weeks ago. Ran these 2 guys over my machine and they (mostly) fixed it up.

I have had trouble with Hotmail, Yahoo and even Ebay.

I would sign in Hotmail and not be able to access the inbox, with Yahoo I could get to the Inbox and not access individual emails, when I cannot get Yahoo I could get Hotmail and vice versa.

Sounds like you've got the problem nabbed.

That being said, I'd also like to reiterate how good the two bits of FREE software mentioned above are - ADAWARE SE, and SPYBOT SEARCH AND DESTROY. Just run a search on Google, and you'll find where to downlo
