Have you got Norm Darwins book 100 years of GM in Australia? It covers the early Holden body badges, but I dont know if it goes back as far as the style/type of whatever this one is.

It looks like a fitting from a horse coach, they built them before building motor bodies and then cars.

No i havent got that book, ill have to try and get myself a copy, How long had they been making horse coaches for? it must be prety old then, ive never seen on before, has anyone else?

the history of holden is also in the new holden vs ford book, they were building horse coaches in the early 1900s
a very intersting find, could i be the rude one and ask how much you paid?

Try sending those photos by email to the National Motor Museum at Birdwood SA. http://www.history.sa.gov.au/motor/motor.htm If it has anything to do with Australian motoring, they should be able to identify it.
