Dont like your chance of them still being there.(HT ute 1970?)Maybe start with engine and chassis numbers (if original)to narrow it down a bit as in which plant it was built at,but tracing owners and that and other info,could be hard.There maybe others here that can trace back with their collection of numbers/IDs etc.I think being a HT ute,the monaro
records could help out with the finding of more info as they are fairly well recorded by alot of people.(as they should be.)
