Hi all, I had a HG kingswood wreck that I took the air-con off. Now trying to fit it to my HG prem, I find the kingswood (which I no longer have) had a different model swaybar (not stock) to accomodate the drive pulley for the aircon.
With the stock swaybar, it sits right in the groove of the aircon pulley attached to the harmonic balancer. Impossible to get a belt in there, let alone allow free movement.
I need to know what model car I can get a swaybar from (or just a swaybar model #) that will fit the HG, and has a kink or bend front and centre so as to leave room for the aircon pulley.
Really hope someone can help, I am running out of options.....
Thanks folks.

Never heard of this before. Parts manuals do not list any difference in sway bars for air vs non-air vehicles. I suggest that either you have the wrong pulley or you are using the wrong engine mounts placing the engine in the wrong place. |

Hi HG Tank.
There is a different front bar for HT/HG 253/308 to clear the lower radiator hose on the LHS.
Have a look at some aftermarket types (K-Mac etc) their's have to allow for all variations.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |
