Not too familiar with the ford v8's (yet) but I have heard that the cleveland is a really heavy and big motor compared to the windsor ?
So, what would you guys reccommend ?
302 C or W ?....... or a 351 C or W ?..or a mix'n match of the two ?
I seem to remember someone saying something about a 302 W block with a 351 crank / rods and Cleveland 2V heads ?...or something ?...I dunno...I'm hazy on the details.
Looking for a nice streeter that will spend most of it's life between 2,000-4,500 rpm and pulls like a trouper without being terrible to drive in warm weather....
Any advice chaps ?....

windsor motor with clevo heads is a Boss motor. Not a simple bolt together deal. Both motors have their good points and bad points. The way things are today I'd lean more towards the windsor.

Depends what you are going to put it in too? Say an XP, go a Windsor, say an XC and you would have to go a Clevo! Clevo's are probably a bit more popular mod's wise, But you could get a late model (EB to AU) 5.0l Windsor, rip the EFI etc off and stick a

The old 302 windsor performed better then a 302 clevo and now you can easy go a EFI one.

So you are saying i can use a late model windsor and take the efi gear off and use early type dizzy and carb and i dont have to do any other mods ? Davey

Hey Jim, just out of curiousity, Does the engine need to comply with it's original specs, or to the cars compliance plate specs? I still want to know what sort of car it is going in!

When doing an engine swap the ADR's you are supposed to adhere to are those of the car or those of the engine whichever is newer.
If you are putting a de injected 5.0 into say an XT or XW you might be able to get away with arguing that it's mere
