HARRISONS EARLY HOLDEN & FORD SPARES are having all their own body rubbers made, copied off my large collection of new genuine rubbers & those loaned to me by customers & club members. We have already made many of our own Holden & Ford rubbers,(better than factory) & intend to make full rubber kits for all the early Holden & Fords, as samples become available. I have Ej-Eh Holden outer door belt weather strips being made now, as well as many other Holden & Ford rubbers. The EJ - EH weather strips are being copied off new genuine items, kindly loaned to me by one of my long term customers. They are being made out of a better quality rubber than factory (epdm).They will be wider on the straight ends, as the factory ones are & have better quality steel inserts to hold the clips on & better clips. No one has ever made these with the wider ends, as they should be. I need your support if you want high quality rubbers made at competitive prices, as the tooling alone for these weather strips, cost in excess of $24,000.
Hundreds of thousands of dollars needs to be spent, on the latest technology in tooling, for this to continue. A lot of rubbers need to be sold just to break even, let alone start making any money. I believe the market is there for high quality body rubbers & once we prove we can back up our claims of quality, the sales will follow.
The ej - eh door weather strips are being made now & will be available for sale early next year, along with many other new rubbers. I have given my rubber manufacturer all my new genuine Holden & Ford body rubbers to copy, as well as samples loaned to me by customers & fellow club members. Our body rubbers are made with the latest technology & tooling. We use real (epdm) rubber, not cheap plastics & chemicals that wont last or fit properly. Most door rubbers will be made dual technology, what this means is that the sealing edge will be made from a softer compound rubber than the base, allowing the doors to close, without having to slam them for the next 6 months or so. The Holden door seal black plugs that go into the door shell have been redesigned to suit our clips. They have had groves put inside the plug to prevent the door seal clips falling out. Our door seal clips are made full circle & in new materials, not a flat spade clip out of recycled nylon, thats why ours don't snap off & stay in the door. Our new rubbers go through a strict 9 page test report & are trial fitted on cars in our old school panel shop, before being made in quantity & put on the market.
All our new rubbers were having made are 100% guaranteed.
While i have been in business for over 22 years now & have collected many nos Holden & Ford rubbers, i don't have everything. If you want to buy high quality body rubbers for your cars, that will fit & last, i need your help with samples of the rubbers that i dont have. I cant do this without your help, let me know what new genuine rubbers you have, that i can borrow or buy. All items loaned will be returned as supplied & free items given, out of the new tooling for your help.
