Had to replace the front shocks on the HZ last week,
the pedders shock broke off the top bolt and shaft.
Only had done 72000 kms on shock.I replaced with monroe.

I thought this was very poor. There still on back of ute but when they are worn out I won't replace them with pedders again.
In my opinion they are very average suspension systems.
Had gabriel air shocks on back previiously and they were great.

It happens.

put a set of 4 new Monroe gas on the Mrs Kombi van a few years ago, and after 14 months the LHF and RHR had blown. Only 20,000ish km. Put a set of 4 Gabriel, and 10 years later they are still fine.

Anything and everything can fail.

Last i knew all the HQ race cars and 3.3L cars ran pedders control suspension.

I had a brand new Monroe GT Gas insert fail in a VH commodore.

They were excellent at exchanging it for a brand new one, but the biggest issue for me was the inconvenience of having to pull the strut out again & change it.

They honoured it, even though it was DIY fitted, as it was a rare manufacturing fault.

I was told once that pedders simply used Monroe shocks repainted red.

Cheers,

Mick

Pedders difference to most suspension brands is that they have a much higher quality control. Anything can fail, but Pedders have a very stringent test procedure on their products. Be very wary of I heard or I was told
