Hi guys,

I have heard that the BA has a weird type of transmission cooler. It is about the size of a brick and is located somewhere near the transmission. The coolant goes into this cooler, as does the trans fluid to cool it.

Is this true?? Any other info you can give?

A picture of this item would be great if anyone has one?

Thanks

All the stock BA's I know of have the transmission cooler in the radiator. The brick might be aftermarket as there were a few BA's cracking in the radiator tank and mixing coolant and tranny fluid.

as far as i know, ba 6 cylinder auto trans cooler is mounted on the side of engine block. it is about the size of a brick. they are known to fail, allowing coolant & auto trans fluid to mix. very expensive repair.
