where do i find the vin number and chassie number on my hx panel van

The chassis number on an HX is stamped on the chassis rail next to the steering box. It will read something like AHXxxxxxA, where the xxxxx is the numerical part.,
The GM VIN number is the one on the smaller of the 3 ID plates & has 14 digits.
Where some confusion does exist, is when the RTA or Police refer to the chassis number as the "VIN/Chassis number". The RTA or Police have no interest in the GM VIN number, they want to know the real chassis number.
