Hi
Working on my friend's stock standard ZB Fairlane, 302 V8 Auto. Presumed it was the Windsor motor, but after trying to replace the dizzy cap and rotor, know now it at least has a Cleveland distributor. How to I properly identify the motor? Can it be done from Engine Number, etc?

Easiest way to tell a clevo from a windsor is look at the top radiator hose and see where it goes into the motor. If it goes to the inlet manifold it's a windsor. If it goes into the top of the block just in front of the head on the drivers side it's a

and a cleveland head is massive compared with the windsor, and the windsor has a welsch plug in the head, cleveland doesnt
