There have been several posts on this before - however an update may be usefull for a few poeple.
I have a 253 with Quadrajet and need to get it re jetted and tuned. When we originally built it, it was done in a rush and is over jetted and running rich.
Can anyone recommend a good Quadrajet guru who, 1 knows there stuff and, 2 actaully cares about their work. I remember there was one in Thornleigh however not exactly sure of the details,

Howdy,
Yes, Kevin at Techtune in Thornleigh is good. CSC at Burwood (Yellow pages) is also excellent for Quadrajets. Probably best to book your car in with the carby fitted and let them get it running right on your motor. Also helps if you have a genui

Paul E - thanks. i will follow up.
Mine is on a HQ 253 so didn't come equiped with Quadrajet. I beleive mine is originally from a 350 HQ Statesman however has had some modifications such as a standard HQ base plate and throttle connector etc.

You are much MUCH better off getting a original 253 quadrajet and starting from there. All of the internal passages, channel restrictions, idle tubes etc etc that you do not see are sized differently between the various quadrajets. Ask CSC in Burwood if t
