Four sold in Nov-Dec by this guy on Ebay.

1st........ $599

2nd....... $609

3rd....... $400

4th....... $207.50

Oops..... last one sold a bit cheap..... lets wait a month or so before listing another one.

VOILA...... price is back up again........ SOLD for $630.00

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/w...wItem&item=370336658762

Its pretty obvious these are currently being made new and wouldn't cost anywhere near that to produce, a small play on words like "only taken out of the packaging for the photo's" and the SUCKERS come a spending.....

They are available direct from the manufacturer in SA for $150 + gst.

Wow..haha.

I enquired about the inner guards from a rusty 1tonner front end. Offered $50 for the pair. Not a lot i know, but inner guards are common.

He told me that his wrecker said theyre worth more then $200 each, and the bonnet was worth more than $350.

I told him to tell his wrecker that he was dreaming.

Q&A section:
Q: HI beale1967 will this fit HK ute rear window Thank you
A: Hi, yes it will. Thanks

Excuse my ignorance, as I dont know that much about pre-commodore Holdens, but dont the HQ-WB van have a wider rear window that the earlier ones?

And as far as the Q&A, how the hell does a tailgate window fit in the back of the ute? (apart from laying it in the tray)

Cheers,

Mick

Hi Mick.

You are dead right about the van rear window not fitting a ute, but oddly enough the van rear glass does fit all series from HD to WB.

Believe it or not but even the turret (roof) panel is the same for HD to WB.

Ive spoken to Leo Pruneau on this subject & he said it was one of his projects to get the HD-HG panel van roof panel to fit the HQ at the request of the bean counters so they could amortise the tooling over several more years. The panel van body was always the least popular body style in any series & costs were always under scrutiny. One of the reasons they didnt build a Commodore panel van (in metal anyway).

well, i reckon if he can get it, good luck to him. if people are prepared to pay "X" amount for something that you or me think is worth "Y" amount, thats entirely up to them.
i just wish i had a product like that i could simply sell one or two a month and earn some spare cash from it, he is a smart man if like you say they cost nothing to produce and he can sell them for inbetween $207.50 and $599, very smart indeed
half his luck i reckon..

we wreck, I dont think it is worth "Y" amount..... I emailed the manufacturer of these asking a price plus postage, he replied that they are $150 plus GST and postage and packaging would be $60.

So I can get one direct from the manufacturer for $225 delivered.

Im not bagging the seller, good for him for finding a product he can make a quick buck on.... I am bagging the dumb arse buyers who just bid away on Ebay without comparing prices outside Ebay and end up paying FOUR times the retail price... Like I said...DUMB arses...

Yeah I think for the bargain price of $1500 you would at least expect to know all the gauges did work for sure. Maybe throw in the car it came out of as well?
