hey
ive just bought at vk commodore with the black 202, some time in the past its had the EFI taken off of it, and a carby put on, but anyway, can some one please suggest me a good carby, and a good exhaust system, i want something that will go hard and sound great.

Triple webers. Thick (2mm) wall steam pipe extractors to keep the heat in, trace around an exhaust gasket and then get a flange cut on a water jet out of 5/6mm plate.

Can you weld? The pipe pieces and pipe can be bought from places like Blackwoods, the pipe size would determine price, maybe 10 for a 90 deg elbow, and the flange would cost about 20-25 from a laser cutters, plasma would be cheaper but leaves a rougher edge that youd need to grind smooth.

Webers are prob the dearest but you can also get Weber throttle bodies with an EFI manifold, if the car had injection b4 you would have the right fuel setup on the tank, it would still have to be tuned for the ADRs but with injection systems these days it can be remapped anytime.

Otherwise you could use triple SUs or Strombergs.

Measure the port and choose a pipe that has a similar internal area, as the pipes join increase the area to 2 ports worth and so on. The bigger the bends radius the better the flow. Once the headers are made you can hook it up to a standard style exhaust.
The idea is to have the primary pipes the same length (volume) this will change with application, longer primaries are better for revs, short to medium for torque, everything is a compromise to suit what you actually use the car for.
