Apart from ebay is this material still available and where? What was the original material made out of,I have heard that it was pure wool.Did any yankee cars come out with "our david jones" interiors.I have found a trimmer that can get his hands on some but he is the only one out of half a dozen that I have spoken to that could supply the material, and I would like to make sure the correct material is still out there before I hand over the cash and interior.

I think theres only one type of houndstooth, not 100% sure about that. Ive heard its made by Novatil and a couple of others. http://www.novatexintl.c...ernational_products.htmlThese guys sell it. http://www.reliableretri...0cloth%20for%20cars.html"I would never want to be a member of a group whose symbol was a guy nailed to two pieces of wood" (George Carlin)

The original was nylon, there was a cotton version readily avialable during the 80s.
The original is available through various trimmers, it is imported from the US and is available in black and white or HG orange and black. Not 100% on HT orange and black. HQ Green and black not yet available.

i havent seen 100 per cent correct for years unless its nos.......its close enough to the untrained eye...and that eye would want to be friggin good if you were not carrying a sample of correct with you or some verniers to pick the size of the pattern....the problem word for correct restorers today is analism and sometimes you need to take some laxatives to get over it.. going to church makes you no more a christian than standing in a garage makes you a car... www.classicozwreck.com.au |
