Hi all,
Picked this up the other day, after looking for ages i finally found what i was after. Its a good original car, factory fitted V8, floor shift trimatic and as far as i can tell factory RTS. Almost half a million kms on the clock, and came with the original motor that put most of them on it, was sold new by Frank Burges Motors in Rochester Vic.

Looking a bit shabby at the minute, but once all the mechanics are sorted out ill get stuck into it with the cut and polish.

Thanks for looking, feel free to comment

Mark

Here is a more recent pic after its all been cut and pollished, came up heaps better than i first thought so im happy with that..

and yeah im going for the original look, going to get some chrome centre caps and nuts to run on the black stockies for a different look, maybe some gts rims one day if i can afford them! Just need to get some lowered springs for the back now, changed the front springs to some that are not as low so it wont scrape on the driveway..

And as for driving a V8 on my p's well i have mates driving 5 litres and gen 3's and they dont seem to have problems with the boys in blue, ive taken the 4.2 litre badge off the back for a start, its only got a single pipe and i just wont drive it like a dick head and go lapping.. but if i get pulled over hopefully i just get a warning and ill start looking for a 202 to put in it lol

Cheers, Mark

Well i havent updated this in a while but i got the car registered about 5 months ago and have racked up over 8000 trouble free kms in it, picked up a good silver grill from the tip the other week so i have got rid of the ugly colour coded one! cant seem to get any pics to work so ill have to work on that.

Cheers, Mark

Good on ya mate, good to see your off to a good start in life, my first car back in 1987 was a aquarius HX kingswood with a white roof so almost identical to yours. 26 years later im driving a HX ute and a HQ wagon and restoring a HZ premier sedan. Cant get enough of em. Like you said keep it basic you cant beat a nice original car with original trim just put it on its gutz and will look great.
