Ive had my eyes set on an 'absalute smick' green John Goss Special still with is original 302 motor. The car is as original as it comes and is unrestored 9/10 rating. I am wanting to make an offer for it. What is a car as good as this worth these days?

Hi Jimmy JGS where a limited edition and the numbers were not recorded in the short time they were in production, around 750, the first bunch about 350 sold like pancakes to the younger new buyers due to the 302 for cheeper insurance but most of the other stuff that came along with a JGS like tacho, black dash, steering wheel, side flutes, bonnet etc is as good as a GT without the 351, carby and 9inch, they have all the good stuff too like a GS, and with not so many around these days like the GTs that were stored away in the shed, unlike the yourger guys of that era who drove the JGS to the wreckers.
so, well theres not so many around these days and as things become more and more rare the price becomes higher and higher, but I once read an article and it said "who cares if its a 302 or 351, as long as you have a muscle car with a V8 your a winner" but to find matching numbers thats great too!
Id say well over 40k, but if you can talk him down then congrats and enjoy.
I have a funny feeling the JGS are going to be the one to find before the next muscle car boom, I never want to bad mouth GSs or GTs but a JGS is the one to find and find John Goss to put his prints on it!
If anyone disagrees, well I stand corrected.
Cheers Phill.
