Hi,

I am looking at putting some Dragways originally for the HK-HTs onto my HR. I know that the offset from HK-HT to HR is different (HR +6mm & HK-HT +30mm) so this means that the rims will set 24mm further inside the wheel arch.

Is this going to cause any dramas? Will tyres hit the struts, etc (especially at the rear). The Dragways are 8" rear and 7" front.

Feedback appreciated.

HK have 12mm less offset than HT/HG.

Dragways that were made for HT/HG should fit HD/HR. HK often do not fit.

Hi Dr Terry, any idea why the offsets are different between HK and HT/G? I put HT rims on a HK, the "bang on" balance weights hit on the upper control arm. Had to go to "stick on" weights and space the rims out a bit.
Theres a funny story here, the guy at the local tyre shop said he coundnt put stick on weights onto steel rims cause "you can only use them on mags"!

So this means that HK had an offset of +18mm - isnt this closer to the HR +6mm hence would be more suited than the HT/HGs with a larger offset of +30mm?

*Confused*

I fitted the HK rims to my EH wagon, they rubbed against the inner body on the rear, HT/HG did fit.
