Hi bobo122.
The HX 50th Anniversary edition sedan & wagon were released in Nov 76 to commemorate the commencement of GM Australia even before it took over Holden Motor Body Builders in the 1930s.
They were based on a Kingswood & had colour-coded HJ Premier wheel trims & painted in a limited number of two-tone colour schemes. They were equipped like a Vacationer with bucket seats, carpets, auto trans etc. etc. plus roof racks on the wagon from memory.
Dr Terry.

Hi Were these available in 5.0 litre, as I have seen them both only with 4.2 or 3.3 litre engines. Oily.

Oily, AFAIK the 50th Anniversary modes were only available with the standard 3300 (202) 6 cyl engine.
There was another HX special edition called the Kingswood DeLuxe V8 which was fitted with a 4.2 & again equipped similarly to a Vacationer. The 50th & the Deluxe are often confused, both being HX models.
