I am thinking about buying a 2002 Holden Commodore VX S Series 2 ,Manual 115000km, one owner, red paint, excellent condition .

What is a reasonable purchase price and what things should I check out ?

What are general views of this model ?

check the redbook value guide on the net, look around as the prices are all over the place.
VX is 152 KW , VT=147kw, The reviews state that economy is slightly better than vt and series 2 VX had an extra link in the IRS.S pack will have FE2 suspension as well.
check for oil leaks and any vibrations under revs, all these motors have telescopic engine mounts that can collapse with age when they do the engine sits lower and causes a vibration through the car, dont be to scared though it cost around $350.00 to fix.
VT-Vy are pretty good if they have been maintained.
