hi, can i fit disc brakes to the 10 bolt rear in my hq van?
what would i need to get,at the moment its drums(rear)and
i have to bleed them,i thought i was going to get away with
them, but if i have to bleed them ,ive got new parts to go on so
i may aswell fit them now.

anyway what would i need(new axles?)

do they bolt on some other way,ive got a wb caprice,
is the rear out of that the same as i need(except mounts),can i run a standard booster?
do i need a stato booster for the pressure? ANY ADVICE PLEASE.
as i dont really know about them.

have read some threads but just want ideas.

The whole disc brake setup will bolt in including the axles (which are shorter), but the handbrake does foul on the leaf springs and this needs to be sorted.

You either have to use a disc brke master cylinder or modify yours to suit.

Has anyone used the ones in Jims second example and if so what is the opinion?

The second type are everywhere on HZ, WB, A9X, UC and plenty of F@%ds as well. The Commodore setup is heaps better.

Ive heared that you swap the left/ right calipers over to clear/ be on top of the leaf springs- something like that? And you blead them as per-normal on the disc in the normal position, and once done it does not matter turning rolling/ rotating around the disc/ diff to install them. you only bleed them to get any air out.
