This is going to be a really simple one for those in the know.

Why are so many of the K-T-G monaros cut and shut under the rear quarter window? I gather its to get to the window mechanism or something

Cheeeers

Its actually repaired there as most rusted due to a reinforcement for the window had a mesh type material that held water, that ran down the window.

Is that repair section being welded into the wheel arch the same as the wheel arch sections from a sedan? What are those clamps called? Thanks.

It wont be sedan. Must be ute or van. I hope not HK ute or van as the arch is different.

Sedan arches are different, BUT... I know of a HT Coupe with Sedan arches, you cant pick it unless you know what to look for.

more like, all it needs to be finished is a few racing stripes, clearly it is a toy car, it will never be ready for the road!

Monaro rear wheel arch is the same as ..... ..... .... .
Van wheelarches are the same as ....... ....
Brougham wheelarches are the same as ........ ...
