Were the side rear indicator lights on the HZ caprice (same as on the ute and van) for caprice only? or did it become standard in HZ later?

That light should not be on that car, all HZ statesman or caprice photos in books that I have do not have an indicator on the side, have they been grafted on ? the only statesman to have this was HQ.

Hi Adam,
I have a HQ body here that has had a similar body modification, the side lights were welded up and the rear light mountings changed, in my case.

If you are having trouble telling where it has been modified I suggest you takle it to a reputable panel guy an get his opinion.

But unless this is something like a proto type or export version, then it is almost certainally modified.
Look for the Caprice componets on the body also, only the caprice and the optioned up SLE had the special directional interrior light, and likely some other bits.
What are your compliance tags like?
HQ had the larger fixing riverts whereas HX - Z had the smaller pop riverts attatching them.
I have HJ- HX & HZ SLE Statesman cars here so I speak from experience.
